Terrarium plants respond to that quickly, and a build started on 17th October will usually show visible new growth within a few weeks of going home.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe plants used in NGM workshops are chosen for how they behave inside glass, not just how they photograph. Species that tolerate high humidity and indirect light hold their form in an enclosed vessel. The ones that do not are the reason most first attempts fail, and knowing the difference is a large part of what the session covers.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eWhat's included in your terrarium workshop ticket\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach ticket covers everything you need on the day. You'll work with a glass terrarium vessel, four plants chosen for terrarium conditions, potting mix, stones, and decorative finishing elements. No tools, no materials, nothing to bring except yourself. The NGM team guides you through the build from start to finish, and you take the completed terrarium home at the end of the session. Sessions run for approximately 90 minutes. The exact selection changes by session, and you choose from what is available at the nursery on the day.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eHow much light does a finished terrarium need?\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBright indirect light suits most terrarium plantings. Direct sun through glass heats the interior quickly and cooks the foliage, which is the most common way a new terrarium fails. A spot a metre or two back from a window works well in most Sydney homes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCan I bring my own vessel?\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe glass vessel is included with the ticket and the workshop is built around it.
